Huff’s Union Church COVID-19 Update
as of June 24, 2021
As a result of Governor Wolf lifting Covid restrictions in Pennsylvania the end of June, Church Council has updated restrictions that had been in place during the pandemic.
Beginning July 4th, in all buildings on campus, face masks will be optional for everyone who is fully vaccinated but will still be required for everyone else. Any activities taking place outdoors will not require masks.
Beginning with the July 4th church services, communion will be offered in the pews, with ushers who are masked distributing the elements.
Access to our on-line worship services continues through Facebook or our web site. The service is posted on Saturday.
For pastoral assistance, please call the church office at 610-845-2626 or Council President Martin Kriebel at 610-845-2960. Please leave a detailed message with your full contact information so we can assist you as efficiently as possible. Additional announcements will be made as the situation changes.
MAKING DISCIPLES: INSIDE AND OUT
We, the members of Huff's Union Church, desiring to be blessed together with Word and Sacrament and to become evermore the Body of Christ in our world, do hereby commit ourselves to a ministry which includes increasingly meaningful worship, creative Christian Education, intentional witnessing, dedicated service, and responsible support.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH
In 2000, two separate congregations, Huff's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Huff's United Church of
Christ, who had worshiped in the same building for many years, began living as one. A shared ministry congregation. Here one finds the best of both traditions of the Reformation, with a willingness to look at the future and adapt to it.

The Latest News From Huff's
Help is needed for making the pies. Please let Kay Kriebel or the church office know if you can help. All volunteers will need to wear masks.
· Friday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m. - Peel and dice potatoes (This is a sit-down job.)
· Friday at 6:00 p.m. - Make pie crusts and place the bottom crust in the pie tins
· Saturday, October 30, at 7:00 a.m. - Assemble the pies and bag them (This can be a sit-down job.)
No experience is needed for any of these jobs. Confirmation credit is given (1 credit for 2 hours work). If you like, bring a snack to share. If you are new to Huff’s Church, or want to bring a friend, this is a great way to get to know our folks while they work on one of our big fund-raising projects.
Since 2011 we have lived in shared ministry at Huff’s Church but legally there are still three separate corporations - Huff’s UCC, Huff’s ELCA and Huff’s Union.
The first step to legally merge Huff’s ELCA and Huff’s UCC corporations into one remaining Huff’s Union Church Corporation is to develop a new Constitution and Bylaws for Huff’s Union Church. After much prayerful consideration, a complete proposal has been developed for the new Constitution and Bylaws for Huff’s Union Church.
There likely will be further changes and clarifications recommended by church members, Council, legal advisor, Synod and Conference. When all input is gathered and revisions made, a final proposal of the entire Union constitution will be approved by the Church Council to be presented to the Congregation for review and final congregational vote.
Your prayerful consideration, input, and questions are appreciated. Please share your input and questions with Joanne Benfield at email@example.com or call 610-845-2978 and leave a message with your phone number and best times to reach you.
