Pastor's Biography

Pastor Mike Todd was hired to serve as a Bridge Pastor to Huff’s Union Church in February 2025. After an extensive search process that examined and interviewed multiple candidates for the full-time pastoral role, the Search Committee unanimously voted to recommend Pastor Mike to the Huff’s Church Council. He has served as our full-time pastor since January 1, 2026. Mike is a Member-in-Discernment for Ordination in the United Church of Christ and hopes to be approved for ordination by the end of 2026.

After receiving his B.A. in English from Ursinus College in 1990, Mike gained experience in corporate publishing before becoming an entrepreneur, first with a local pet supply store in Worcester, PA and then for 20 years of woodworking with a furniture repair and refinishing business in Collegeville, PA until recognizing and answering God’s call to ministry.

In the Fall of 2020, Pastor Mike entered seminary at United Lutheran Seminary (Philadelphia Campus) and graduated in May 2024 with honors with a Master of Divinity degree and Certificate of Preparation from the Urban Theological Institute in the Black Church Concentration. Pastor Mike completed his chaplaincy (CPE—Clinical Pastoral Evaluation) at the Phoebe Senior Living and Care facility in Wyncote, PA where he ministered to the elder community in independent living, rehab, and memory care facilities.

Mike lives in Norristown with his wife, three college-aged children, two dogs, a rabbit, a pigeon, and a parrot. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, reading, music, and occasionally relaxing in front of the TV. Mike believes that our greatest call to live out the gospel message is to develop loving relationships with each other and show God’s love by example.
