Margaret M. Oberly
Margaret M. Oberly, 91, formerly of Huffs Church, Road, Mertztown, died December 6, 2007 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, where she had been a resident since February of 1996. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Oberly Sr., who died on December 12, 1988. Born on April 16, 1916 in Quakertown, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late William E. Sr. and Addie S. (Koder) Davis. She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. She was an assembler for the former Roller Smith, Bethlehem, during the l940s and a clerk at McCrorys, Allentown, during the 1950s and 1960s. Survivors: Son, Robert W. Jr. and his wife, Beth Ann (MacKewen) Oberly, of Red Hill; sisters, Anna (Davis) Ferguson of Allentown, Mary (Davis) Butz of Bethlehem; brothers, William E. Davis Jr., of Midland, Texas, Charles Davis of Lady Lake, Fla.; granddaughters, Stephanie A. Schmoyer, Shannon M. (Schmoyer) and her husband, Joshua M. Noska; great-grandchildren, Brendan C. Noska and Emilie M. Noska. Services: memorial, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton, with the Rev. Jane M. Kropa officiating. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Allentown.
