Message from John Thomas, Presiding Minister of the United Church of Christ:

We are inviting everyone to lift 100,000 prayers over the holidays for those serving in the military, and to raise $100,000 to help Iraqi refugees, who have been displaced because of the war. Below is the update (as of Nov. 28, 2007). Thank you for your help in this very important ministry.
We have had a tremendous response to our call to lift 100,000 prayers -- as individuals and as congregations -- over the holidays for those serving in the military. Log on now to read over the prayers that have been posted over the last week. And, please take a moment and post your own prayer today.
As of November 27, we've also raised an amazing $40,131 toward our January 6 goal of collecting $100,000 for Iraqi refugees. Thanks to everyone who has made a donation. Please help us meet our goal by telling your friends and family about our ambitious plans to provide shelter, food, clothing and schooling for Iraqi refugee families this holiday.
