Lloyd Diehl Obituary
Lloyd E. Diehl
Lloyd E. Diehl, 86, of Macungie, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Lower Macungie Township, he was a son of the late Howard L. and Mary Anne T. (Hoch) Diehl. He was employed for more than forty years at the East Penn Division of Tyler Pipe Industries, Macungie. He was a member of Upper Milford Mennonite Church Zionsville He also served for many years as secretary of Huffs Union Church Sunday School, Alburtis, where he also assisted with property maintenance. He was a Dutch actor with other players in Pennsylvania German performances at Huffs Church for nineteen years, and was a life member of Macungie Fire Company. Having had a life long interest in birds, he raised various breeds of game birds and was an avid birdwatcher. Survivors: Brother, Marvin Diehl and his wife, Audrey, of Trexlertown; sister, Doris, wife of Woodrow Lesher, of Palm; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Webster, John, and Dale Diehl; sisters, Ethel Schmoyer, Sarann Smith, Leola Lichtenwalner, and Mae Krause. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, in Upper Milford Mennonite Church, 6450 Kings Highway, Zionsville. A calling hour will begin at 9 a.m. in the church.
