O Lord, today is truly special, for it comes as a gift from you to me. I am surrounded by the marvelous things you have made: babies are born, leaves bud on the trees, bodies heal after illness, children ride two-wheelers for the first time, people build friendships. Help me to always see your hand in my world, even on what seems like the most ordinary of days. Open my eyes to see your love in countless little things, and in that way become aware of the grand scale of your grace. Make my heart sing with your praise today and every day. Today is truly special for it is a gift from you to me. Thank you for this day. Amen.
