Weddings are done in the context of a Christian worship service and should show the respect and appropriate behavior that one would expect of those participating in a service of Christian worship, including decorations, what is worn and music that is played. The pastor of Huff's Union Church will officiate at all weddings held on church property. Visiting pastors may be given permission to assist in the wedding ceremony at the discretion of Huff's pastor. It is the couple's responsibility to contact the church office and Huff's pastor and involve him/her in the wedding planning at the earliest possible date. Any couple with a valid marriage license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is eligible to be married in Huff's Union Church.
Funerals are a thanksgiving for the life of the person who has died, a chance for the mourners to hear Scriptural comfort,
and an opportunity for all to support one another in their common loss. A funeral is a service of worship, and should show the respect and appropriate behavior that one would expect of those participating in a service of Christian worship,
including music that is played and items that are displayed. Huff's pastor will officiate at all funerals held in church
buildings. Visiting pastors may be given permission to assist in the funeral ceremony at the discretion of Huff's pastor.
Photos displayed, tributes made, and anyone who would wish to speak must be approved by the church's pastor. If available, the park or chapel may be used for a funeral meal; a usage fee will be charged.

Baptism is a sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and in the United Church of Christ. We baptize persons of all ages. Teenagers and adults are asked to profess faith in Jesus Christ and to promise to be faithful members of a faith community after their baptism. When children are baptized, their parents, church sponsor (who must be a member of Huff's Union Church) and any godparents (chosen by the parents) promise to raise the child in the Christian faith as a member of a Christian congregation. It is assumed that when young children and infants are baptized, they will later participate in a Confirmation program, so that they may affirm the vows their parents made for them at their baptism.
Huff's does not require that parents of children or infants be members of Huff's Union Church. At least one session of baptismal instruction is required with the pastor of Huff's Union Church before a person may be baptized.
Pastors from denominations related to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or United Church of Christ may take part in the baptism at the discretion of Huff's pastor.
