| Youth Group News Attention All 'Tweens & Teens! The Youth Group follows a monthly rotational cycle of meeting, service project, and fun activity. All youth grades 7 through 12 are welcome to join Huff's Church Youth Group and friends are always welcome! Mr. Jeremy Force leads the Youth Group and Mrs. Susan Manwiller coordinates events. All youth in these grades and their friends are welcome. We could use some parents to rotate being the second adult in the class. This form will be used for any and all church-sponsored activities and events that your child may be involved with at Huff's. This means no more filling out a permission form over and over again throughout the year! Once Huff's has this form on file, it will be for the entire current year. If you would ever like to revoke permission, just contact the church office. Please complete the form and return it to the church office or Mrs. Susan Manwiller, Director of Ministries for Children and Youth. The Shouting Stones Shine On! The teen Praise and Worship band at Huff's Church is growing, and making a name for themselves in the world of Praise and Worship. The name is "The Shouting Stones" and this summer they performed at the New Goshenhoppen Festival on July 4. They made another appearance at the Huff's Church Clambake on July 12. The Shouting Stones perform current, popular Praise and Worship songs, as well as original songs written by them. If you have not witnessed their performance yet, they will be performing again in various functions and worship services for Huff's Church. If you are a teen in grades 6 or 7 and up, and you would like to join us in Praise and Worship, please speak to Mr. Fritz VonHummel, Mrs. Stacy Whalen, or Ms. Julie Brought who are the managers/advisers of The Shouting Stones. Scouting Any girls, Kindergarten through 12th grade, that are interested in joining Girl Scouts, please call Sharon Fichter after 5 p.m. or anytime on the weekend (Please call the office at 610-845-2626 for her phone number). Sharon is trying to restart the Girl Scouts here at Huff's. Meetings will start in September. Confirmation News ~ Confirmation Class of 2010 ~ On September 28 there will be a covered dish meal for Confirmands and families in the basement of the chapel. The meal begins at 5:30 p.m. After the meal, I ask one or both parents to remain for a lesson on Holy Communion. Confirmands, please be sure you bring your folder for handouts as well as your Confirmation Bible. Other members of the family may leave when we do our lesson. For this evening meal, we ask families to bring a covered dish (vegetable, meat or dessert) to share. Beverages and table service will be provided. Would a few parents arrive early (I'll be there at 5:15 p.m.) to help set up, and to supervise children who will want to play while we get things organized? I also ask for some parents to volunteer to do some dishes and clean up after the meal. Class at 9:15 with one or both parents (or parent-delegate) on October 5. We will talk about baptism.
