MITTEN TREE
Our lovely church mitten tree had every branch from top to the base bedecked with 141 mittens, caps, scarfs, etc.  This
has been the largest amount that we've ever had.
Our granddaughter, Hannah, sorted and packaged everything. We had 2 large boxes which were sent to St. Vincent's
Mission in David, Kentucky.
Many thanks to the children, parents and grandparents of the church for all the donated items which will keep the
children in Appalachia warm during the winter season.
Our next project for the mission will be our seed tree that will be in the upper Narthex starting February 26th.  Seeds
must be to church by March 18
.

FOOD BANK
Wednesday, January 4th was our coldest day so far this winter at 9 degrees, however Bob & Sue Stockdale packaged 267
assorted food and related items and later in the day delivered everything to Open Line in Pennsburg.  The need at all these
agencies is increasing on a daily basis, so thanks to each and everyone that continues to support this mission of our
church.  Every donated item stays within the Upper Perkiomen Valley.
Our donations for January, February and March are given to Boyertown Multi-Service.  Thanks again to Bob & Sue for
rendering their services to the less fortunate.
       Serving Christ,
Carl Arner

TEEN SUNDAY SCHOOL
We are pleased to announce that our teenage Sunday School class continues to meet at 9:15 a.m.  When it is not a
Confirmation Sunday, the Confirmands are invited to join the older teenagers for a discussion of topics.  We need teachers
and second adults for this class.  Please sign up on the Sunday School bulletin board, or see Gary Moll for more
information.

YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR CHURCH-RELATED EVENTS
The Jane Kukulka Memorial Scholarship Fund welcomes donations in any amount and is used to help children of our
members attend ELCA and UCC sponsored events.  You may donate in honor of or in memory of a particular person, or to
the glory of God.  Please place your donation and information in an envelope and place this in the Sunday School mailbox.
Having this fund allows us to help families with financial needs send their youth to special events.  In the past, this fund
enabled us to support one of our youth who went to Germany with the Northeastern PA Synod and one of our youth who
went to south Africa with the Lancaster Seminary Leadership Now group.

NURSERY & PRESCHOOL
18 months to 4 years. We ask that a parent remain with the child if the child is not yet toilet trained.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
This class alternates between Bible Study and Contemporary Issues (described below). The Adult Class meets in the first
classroom to the left, after going through the double doors from the downstairs Narthex

BIBLE STUDY
This group studies the lectionary texts which are used in Sunday morning worship..

CONTEMPORARY ISSUES
This group has a discussion on various present day issues, based on an internet curriculum guide which includes the issue,
questions for discussion and applicable Bible passages.
