Blessing of the Fields service

In addition to celebrating Mother's Day, the fifth Sunday after Easter is set aside for the Blessing
of the Fields. This is a church custom of blessing soil, seed, water and all necessary for growing
food and other crops. This display of antique tractors was the perfect backdrop for the blessing.
