The special offering opportunity for February is the ELCA hunger offering. This offering helps people throughout the world have the basics of life. Offering envelopes are in the pew racks and literature racks of the church, or simply use a blank envelope, mark it Lutheran Hunger Fund, and either place filled envelope in the offering plate or mail it to Huff's Church. Include your name if you wish to be credited for the gift on your giving statement.
2012 Offering envelopes are downstairs in the lower Narthex. They are in alphabetical order. If you do not find yours, speak to Robin Diehl.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Orders are being received for Homemade Apple Dumplings. Cost remains $3 and pick up is Saturday Jan 28 from Noon to 3:00 pm
Redner's will no longer accept tapes for rebate from getting Redner's gas at the quick shops. They will accept the tapes if you shop at the quick shop. Thank you.
Nursery Sitters: We are in need of nursery sitters for the 10:30 worship services. There is a sign up sheet on the Sunday School bulletin board. Rachel Welch does the scheduling for this. Her number is listed there if you wish to talk to her. For the confirmands, it is a way to earn your participation credits. There need to be two adults in the nursery, and the confirmands are scheduled with the two adults. Please take time to help in the nursery. Thank you in advance.
Confirmands please note: Sermon report forms will be in the Sacristy (Robe Room). They will no longer be downstairs at the bulletin board. Pick one up when you get your name tag.
We have activity bags for younger children to use during worship. Please return the bags to the basket at the entrance to the sanctuary. If you have mistakenly taken home a bag, please bring it back so we may have these for all of our children to use.
Acolytes and Crucifers: Please check the schedule, and if you cannot be in church, please find a substitute. Call the church office by Tuesday of the previous week, so we may have the correct names in the bulletin.
The Youth Group is sponsoring the Paper Recycling bin that we have on the grounds beside the chapel. There is a list of things that they accept and don't accept on this link, and on the bulletin board downstairs.
FAIR TRADE COFFEE AND TEA is still available next to the library on the first floor. A box will be available where you can deposit the right amount of money. Until the box is in place, you can use an envelope and place your money in the offering plate. These items make a great Christmas gift and you will be helping provide growers in third world countries get a fair price for their products. If you have any questions or requests, please contact Jane Leeser.
