A Prayer For Commerce and Industry
Almighty God, your Son, Jesus Christ, dignified our labor by sharing out toil. Be with your people where they work; make those who carry on the
industries and commerce of this land responsive to your will; and to all of us, give pride in what we do and a just return for our labor, through
your son, Jesus Christ, Our Savior. Amen. (Lutheran Book of Worship)
We pray for all scientists—engineers, students, teachers, physicians, technicians—who work diligently to unfold your [God’s] holy mysteries and
ask your [God’s] blessing on each one of them. May these technological developments be used for the good of all and to alleviate suffering from
